Are you sick of being bombarded with others peoples opinions on who you should become? Are you sick of living in the shadow of your parents or a loved one’s past wants, needs and desires? As the late, great Michael Jackson song says, “You are not alone”.
For this reason, there are so many people who struggle to live for purpose. If you can relate, this has caused you to lose your childhood dreams and inner powers. Like many, you have probably tried affirmations, they are on your mirror, on your refrigerator, on your dashboard, in your workspace, heck, they are even on your phone and they still have yet to manifest.
This leaves you feeling upset, confused, full of doubt, and always looking for the next best thing to make you feel powerful.
How did I get here?
Self-sabotaging and you don’t know what you want. One moment you want success but then in an instant you focus on your current situations. Let me give you some relief, it is not your fault. You see, adulthood triggers are childhood traumas. This is only made clear once you start walking in self-awareness.
As a child when something painful happened in our life, we internalize it much differently. We received advice from broken parents, who received advice from a broken parents. You catch where I am going? So in the end this leaves us without a voice and this plays into your personal and business relationships.
Your inner circle isn’t healthy. OUCH! It is said that, who we associate with, we become. Now I am not saying that they are terrible for you, but if you do not have friends and family members that aren’t supportive, you may need to unplug from them and associate from a distant, because their suppressing the power within you and you’re not getting what you deserve in your business and life.
How do I reignite my inner powers?
- Be clear on what you want and stand firm to your decision. Create a better vision and know all the details. Who do you want to become? Tap into all of your 5 senses so that it is so real in the moment, that you put your mind ahead of the experience. Maybe your vision is to speak on stage in front of 1000 people? Write a book? Or Start a new business venture? Sit in a quiet place for 10 minutes every morning to pray and paint your vision.
- The Bible says “Truly I tell you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” You have to stop sabotaging yourself and it starts with your mind-set. Drop your old beliefs and adopt new ones. If you do not do this, they becomes your reality. Think of your core values and how you want them to play in your life and business. Write them down and affirm them daily.
- Surround yourself with game changers: Who do you know in your industry or life that is making power moves? How do you resonate with them? Find several people that you resonate with and follow them on social media, go to their blog, and invest in their courses. The more you start to find those that influence you, the more success you will attract in your life.
Say “YES” and step into your purpose. Stop holding yourself back from living your greatest potentials. I proudly give you permission to GO! You see, we were all built from the BEST. Don’t quit!
- Hire a coach. This was one of the best decisions I have made in my entrepreneurial career. At the time of writing this, I have 2 coaches, specific to the areas in which I need to develop. Coaches can help you pave your plan and guide you into those places that you were once afraid to go. They will allow you to uncover your gift and tap into your greatest leadership potentials.
I’m reading a book called “ The Awakened Family” by Shefali Tsabary, that I borrowed from the library. When I first opened the book, there was a small card that the last reader used as a bookmark that read, “The future is NOW.” That is my message to you. The future is now, do not wait to live your life later, live for purpose now. Open your heart to the Divine Most High and reignite your inner powers!
